After a relaxing holiday in Sydney and the Blue Mountains I’m back in the studio refreshed and prepped for a creative 2018.

Spent a relaxing two weeks in Newtown (Sydney) over New Year.
In between beach visits and cafes I took time out to sketch on the streets.

Whale song was painted for a children’s magazine. I’m lucky enough to live near to where these ocean giants swim.

Treehouses are awesome, right? I absolutely love drawing them. They’re something I’ll randomly created while lounging in a cafe over a long macchiato or in a bar with a glass of Merlot.
A few days ago I decided to record the process and share it. Enjoy.
This painting took so many layers of paint, unexpected alterations and random experimentation to get it right.

Ever had an inkling to draw a balloon house? Okay, that’s a relatively specific interest, right? However, I happen to enjoy creating these fantasy homes and decided to share my procedure in creating a simple one. Enjoy.
