Hello, my name is Gabriel Evans and I’m a Australian children’s book author and illustrator.
With a coffee on hand I spend my day making heartfelt and humorous picture books in pencil, ink and watercolour.
Welcome and enjoy browsing my books, illustrations and sketches – ideally with your own coffee in hand.
Scotty and the Scotties
The USA edition available January 2027 with Viking.
A mischievous picture book featuring a delightful pack of Scottish terriers with a light seek-and-find activity and a twist that readers won’t see coming.
‘Evans has created an outrageously clever love-makes-a-family tale that celebrates nonconformity and belonging in equal measure.’”— ★ Kirkus Reviews (starred)
1st September 2026
The uplifting and inspirational true story of PENGUIN BLOOM and how one small bird brought a fractured family back together, now retold in gorgeous picture book format.
“Gabriel Evans is fast becoming one of the most consistently delightful Australian picture book creators of recent years.”
