Let it rain.

A watercolour and charcoal painting developed using rapid, energy induced strokes. Sometimes, after a focusing on an illustration project, I need to step away and paintĀ for the pure joy of creating.

I think these characters have a bigger story to tell than their present corner of my sketchbook page allows...
Getting your daily fix of dog kisses.
Starting the weekend with dog sketches.
During Children's Book Week this year I wrote and storyboarded a new picture book idea. It was a concept that came together quickly and made me laugh out loud, which in turn possibly frightened everyone is the cafes where I wrote it. So, apologies to all those Sydneysiders! A month later this story was commissioned to be published with Berbay Books. It hits the shelves in October 2020 and I can't wait to share it with everyone. It involves this scarf and hat among other things. @berbay_books
Red hair has to be my favourite hair colour to paint. Sketchbook scribbles from earlier in the week.
